Can anyone recommend a good camera bag?
Recommendations: Tamrac, Lowepro, and Tenba are pretty good choices. Lesser known brands, but still excellent choices include Domke, Crumpler, Kata, and Billingham. If you have a lot of gear, you really cannot beat a backpack style camera bag, especially if you plan on carrying a laptop. Even here, there are different variations on the backpack theme–some are part camera bag and part backpack, while others are all camera backpack.
