For the actual sale, ebay is still the best choice until the item is worth $250 or more. Then I would go to a professional auction house (there are several that specialize in stamps). Here is my suggestion. • Get a copy of the Scotts guide to Stamp Values. You can check it out of the library or buy it online. Check out each of the stamps and see if you have anything worth anything. If the book is less than about $10, it is probably not worth doing anything except perhaps making Job Lots and selling them for what you can get for them. • Any stamps booked for $10 to $100, sell on ebay as best you can. Use the Scott Reference number. Take several good pictures and be honest about the description • Anything worth more than $100, send the stamp out to be graded and verified by a professional company and then sell it on Ebay. • Anything worth more than $250 or $500, I would then go directly to a major auction house. Collectables can and do lose value and you can expect to get much less than
