Can anyone suggest some good online bike shops?
You’d be surprise to find out how many Internet bike shops are actually brick-and-mortar, real-life bike shops, that just happen to have an Internet presence too. I’m not against buying over the Internet, but it’s one of those “if you have to ask…” things — if you have to ask, you probably don’t know enough about bikes to safely buy one mail-order. You need the one-on-one that a local bike shop provides to make sure you get the right size and style, do adjustments, etc. Leave the Internet bike buying to those who know what measurements work for them and are willing to wrench their own bikes.
there are no good online bike shops, its just not safe, most of the manufacturers actually make it “illegal” to sell their bikes online.i would recommend them for checking out prices,spec’s, and other bikes out there.the best thing to do is drive down to the bike shop,try out at least a half-dozen bikes in your price range and pick the one that fits you best, not the cheapest and most uncomfortable.
