Can Bionector be used with the pre-filled syringes used in emergency resuscitation?
There are two types of Pre-Filled Syringes. Type 1 has a modified luer fitting. Bionector can be used with these Pre-Filled Syringes without the need for an adaptor. However in the case of the Aurum brand of pre-filled syringe, it is neccessary to use an adapter. The Vygon code for this adapter is 9886.01. Type 2 has a large needle. These obviously cannot be connected directly onto a Bionector. You must either remove the Bionector, or access the line via a standard injection site.
