These methods are “Normal” Damage repair, Continuous Damage Repair (CDR), and Emergency Damage Repair (EDR). Each ship has a damage control rating (average is 4) which represents how much power and/or points a ship can devote to repair systems each turn. Each system on a ship has an assigned repair value and when the ship totals enough power/points it can mark the system as repaired. “Normal” Damage repair requires you to spend power to repair ship systems. This type of damage control can be used indefinitely as long as the ship has power and systems to repair. Continuous Damage Repair is different in that the ship automatically creates its own points (power not required) but you are severely limited in the number of systems you can repair this way. Emergency Damage Repair requires a lot of power to use and hurts a ships overall efficiently at repairing later but if s
