Division One of the Fourth Appellate District functions as a satellite filing office for the California State Supreme Court. Filings for the Supreme Court are deposited here, and at the direction of the Supreme Court Clerk’s Office in San Francisco are forwarded to that office. Service copies of Supreme Court documents may not be deposited at the Court of Appeal. Since the two courts are not linked by a computer system, this court does not have access to Supreme Court case information. The following table lists basic information on common Supreme Court filings. All questions regarding case information and procedural questions may be addressed to the Supreme Court Clerk’s Office convenient for you.
