Can children be around chemo patients & success rate of stage 3 lung cancer?

0

As long as children are made aware of what is going on in an age appropriate way, children can handle just about anything including death and disease. My nieces and nephews handled my sister (their aunt) and mother’s (their grandma) cancer treatments and deaths quite well…some were more interested than others but that isn’t likely to be a problem with your children because they are so young. They are in no physical danger — in fact, they will likely be a danger to her (chemo interferes with and sometimes destroys the immune system…and as you know, young children are little germ factories) Lung cancer is deadly. Stage 3 is very serious and she will likely need a lot of care. It depends on a number of things — including the particular kind of lung cancer she has. You can find the stats online, but full recovery is rather rare.
