The answer depends upon the school district’s policies and practices. The state does not require school districts to permit part-time attendance for home schooled students. If the child is receiving IEP services from the district, the IEP team will determine the appropriateness of the child’s participation in regular education, consistent with the school district’s policies and practices, and the IEP will include any necessary modifications and accommodations related to the participation.
