Can comcast phone service receive collect from calls jail, pay phone ect.?
NOT TRUE…Comcast just now told me that I have to get a third party to set up an account so I can receive collect calls. I have been able to receive a couple of collect calls from my son (in prison) here and there, but for the most part no one can call me collect. It is disappointing, because I was told specifically when I signed up that I would be able to receive collect calls. I was not, however, told the particulars of setting it up with a third party.

Yes, the digital voice box is just like any other phone, except for the fact that it is connected to your modem….so you may have to reset it in case of power outage, etc. But, if you were to get a collect call, you would have to accept it or deny it first. Or, call and ask to have a block put on your phone.
