Can countertop materials be mixed? I mean, can I have some solid surfacing and some butcher block?
Yes, you can mix and match various countertop materials, and in doing so, will actually create a custom look that suits your styles and needs. For example, you could have mostly solid surfacing, with butcher block near cutting and prep areas and some natural stone near area for baking or putting down hot items from the stove or oven.
