Can Cyclops do anything besides shoot optic blasts?
Like all the original X-Men, he’s been trained in unarmed combat, can fly and perform repair work on the Blackbird (their old team jet — dunno if they still have it), and has experience in resisting psionic assault, courtesy of training with Professor X. He has an inherent ability with “spatial geometry” that allows him to do tricks with ricocheting his blast to affect multiple opponents, attack from odd angles, etc. Normally, his body absorbs ambient cosmic radiation in order to fuel his powers, and there has been a time or two when he has been able to absorb other types of enery in order to boost his optic blasts, but those have generally been “one-off” events. Oh — and he is also immune to the powers of his brother, Alex (a.k.a. Havok).
