Flax seed has similar qualities to other nuts and seeds… they contain fat and carbohydrate. These foods have many health benefits, but in Level One we like to keep fats and carbohydrates separate. Of all the imbalances, these Combo-Foods create only a minor imbalance. If you are doing well on Level One you may incorporate flax seed without a problem. On Level Two it is perfectly fine. Flax seed would be delicious in bread and would only create the slightest imbalance. Let me know how it works!
