A. Yes―prior to January 1, 2011. The Funeral Director can enter information into the IDRS and drop-to-paper for a non-participating Medical Certifier. A. After January 1, 2011, all Funeral Homes, Medical Certifiers, and Local Health Departments will process death certificates electronically via the IDRS.
