Can Gunlocke provide FSC “pure” veneers or FSC “pure” core materials or both?
We use FSC mixed source materials to provide FSC certified products. We do not have a source of FSC pure composite core materials. We can provide FSC mixed core and FSC pure veneers for a project as special, however it would be better for any customer working on a LEED project to consider buying our certified products labeled with an FSC Mixed Sources label. Why is this better for customers? Under the FSC mixed credit system, 100% of the dollars spent on the wood portion of our FSC labeled products contributes to credit MR 7.0 under the LEED-CI rating system. For example, if we were to use an FSC pure veneer on a product, there would be an increase in price beyond the standard FSC upcharge and there would be no additional contribution to LEED-CI MR 7.0. 8.
