Can hermit crabs and a ball python cohabitate?

0

NO. Hermit crabs and ball pythons can not share the same tank There is no way to make the tank conditions acceptable for both animals The ball pythons would most likely attempt to eat the hermit crabs, or the crabs would get aggitated and pinch the python Ball pythons stress VERY easily, and this stress causes them to go off feed, sometimes for several months at a time. Forcing a ball python to be in sub-standard conditions with hermit crabs would be very stressful for the python. It is also very possible for diseases to be tramsmitted between the two different species. One of your hermit crabs could be carrying a disease that is not dangerous to him or other hermit crabs, but could be deadly to the python. Or the python could be carrying the disease. Please do not put them together. It is not a safe decision, and will be detrimental to the health and welfare of your animals.
