Can Home Schoolers Get a High School Diploma and Attend a University or College?

Within the realm of home schooling a family can make their own decisions about the educational path their children take and it is no different in the high school years. Some families choose not to pursue a high school diploma and instead use a portfolio of their achievements and challenged test scores to gain acceptance into post-secondary institutions and/or job situations. Other students do choose the diploma route, and take Alberta Learning courses or other courses that meet the criteria for credits.
