Can I access personal information collected about me during an internal investigation or disciplinary proceeding?
• This is your personal information and you have the right to access it, subject to limited exceptions. Section 20 of the Act allows for information to be withheld if it would be harmful to law enforcement matters. However, it is unlikely that your personal information relating to an internal investigation or disciplinary proceeding could be withheld under this exception since, unless part of a quasi-judicial process, disciplinary proceedings are not considered to be a law enforcement matter.
