Practicing Wicca is not acceptable to Judaism. As a Jew, I was taught to have faith in one God. We do not pray to any idols, prophets, or any messiah. We only pray to God. The goddesses, rituals, and celebrations of Wicca have Pagan origins. The Jewish religion does not base any of its beliefs on any Pagan-related practices. Many Jewish laws exist for practicing Jews, in regard to dietary restrictions, prayer, work, charity, observing the Sabbath, and how we conduct our daily lives. For instance, devout Jews are not supposed to observe the celebration of Halloween, a holiday that originated with Pagans. However, the Jewish religion has its own spiritual and mystical roots in the ancient writings of the Kabbalah, a specific portion of the sacred Torah. The Kabbalah is so complicated that a layperson cannot understand it. The sages who wrote it thousands of years ago were on a much higher spiritual level than we are today. For our generation, there are books to help us interpret the Kabbalah because we are not as spiritually evolved as our Jewish ancestors of yesteryear. All in all, Wiccan practices contradict the underlying beliefs of Judaism.

. There is no Witchcraft restriction of such things from the Witch’s point-of-view. Most Witchcraft traditions have no requirement to denounce any other faith and, indeed, Witches often look askance at “the one true way” which claims to have a monopoly on truth, divine revelation or enlightenment. But those who practice Christianity are usually bound NOT to become involved with the occult and Witchcraft is classified as occult by most Christian ministers. “A Christian Witch” is probably an impossibility given the history and on-going reality of Christian persecution of Pagans, Wiccans, and Witches.
