Can i become a music producer with no experience self teaching myself with a Macbook Pro & Logic Pro?
I know a lot of successful producers who have never been to a ‘school’ per say to learn their trade. Many of them started off learning similar software products to Macbook Pro and Logic Pro and taught themselves the very basic fundamentals of sound recording. However, the majority of them also put in hundreds of hours interning at some recording studio or another. There are somethings that you can learn on your own about music production, but there are things, much more difficult and mathematically based that every producer should know that are hard and almost impossible to figure out on your own. You may be able to record demos for bands here and there, but if you’d like to be more serious about music production you may look into interning at an actual studio. Keep in mind you’ll most likely be sweeping and dusting, running errands, and earning your keep.
