Can i believe in god and wiccan?

Wicca and Christianity are incompatible. The Gods of our religion are not the God of Christianity, nor have they ever been. Additionally we lack all concept of original sin, without which the sacrifice of Jesus is meaningless. The only reason to become a Wiccan is if you are called by our Gods to honor and adore Them. If you feel called to honor and adore the Christian God and His Son, then for heaven’s sake stick to Christianity. An essay on “The Problem with Christian Wicca”: http://wicca.timerift.net/christianwicca… I know of NO experienced and competant Wiccan who accepts “Christian Wicca” as a valid Tradition. ETA: And Robert’s assumptions couldn’t be more incorrect. Wicca is not an “ancient religion” — it was created in the early half of the 20th century.

It so happens that you can. The two ideas are not mutually exclusive. I have been Wiccan a long time, and have always believed in Jesus Christ. I have accepted Him as my God, the Celestial Father, and Mary as my Goddess of the Earth. I know of many other Wiccans doing the same, and we all agree that somehow our wisdom is enhanced by this! If you think about what Christ was preaching and teaching it becomes evident that he was Pagan, drawn to the Old Ways of living. His ideas were lifestyle ideas, a way of making your life easier, along with those around you. He promised that if we lived His kind of life (A Christ-like life) we could have what He had. All the gifts, all the power. Life everlasting is the big payoff, but think of it: Walking on water, turning water to wine. But you gotta believe, brothers and sisters, and walk the walk and talk the talk. But, yes, you can be Wiccan and Christian simultaneously. Good Luck! Blessed Be! T.
