Can I clean the cats litter box safely while ttc?

Since you have cats (as do I) I would get tested for toxoplasmosis now (Toxoplasmosis is an infection that passes from animals to humans, sometimes without causing any symptoms). This is why doctors recommend you stay away from litter boxes. The advantage to getting tested before is that is your doc will want to know if you have it before you conceive or if you have contracted after. It is a big deal if you contract while pregnant, where it is not if you have it prior. They will just want to get everything situated before your pregnancy. I got tested and found out I don’t have it. Do your cats go out? If they do, they are more likely to carry the disease. If they are indoor, it is less likely, but still possible. When scooping, wear rubber gloves and a surgical mask while scooping. As soon as you are done, remove your rubber gloves, dispose and take of the mask. Immediately after, wash your hands with soap and water. Basically, you want to avoid cat feces at all times. Also be careful
