Can I contribute to the Sarai Readers or Deewan-E-Sarai?
The editorial collectives of the Sarai Readers (English) and the Deewan-e-Sarai (Hindi) invite proposals for texts to be considered for forthcoming volumes. This is done through a public call for proposals on the Sarai mailing lists – reader-list, commons-law etc. (and other lists such as Nettime, Fibreculture, Spectre etc), or by advertisements in Hindi periodicals such as ‘Hans’ and through announcements on the Sarai website. Each volume has a theme, and contributors are invited to respond to the theme through texts, image-essays, interviews, diaries. The editorial collectives make a selection from the proposals that come in, and also invites people to write. Contributors retain their copyright over their individual contributions. All Sarai publications are placed in the public domain.
