Can I download Vanguard money market information into a Quicken money market account?
No. Vanguard money market funds are mutual funds, just like our stock, bond, and balanced funds. Because Quicken treats money market accounts as investments rather than as banking accounts, you will need to download Vanguard money market mutual funds into an investment account. Quicken does not provide the ability to change a banking account into an investment account. We recommend creating a new investment account for any Vanguard funds listed in a banking account. Note: You may add a linked checking account to the investment register you use to track money market funds, particularly if you also use Vanguard’s checkwriting service. For more information, see the Help files provided within Quicken.
