Can I email Sonicbids members to encourage them to submit?
If you would like to use the search functionality in your Promoter Account to seek out artists and promote your opportunity, please make sure that you do this in a targeted, personal way. In other words, do not spam our members. Make sure to check out the artist’s EPK before you contact them and be careful about how you promote your opportunity. There is a fine line between promoting and encouraging, and if you encourage artists to submit, you may be setting the expectation that you’ll definitely select them for your opportunity. It’s totally appropriate to let an artist know you checked out their music and that they might be interested in finding out more about your Drop Box. But it is not appropriate to tell an artist they’re “perfect” for your opportunity (unless they are). With as many artists and promoters as we have in our community, the word about misuse of emails and email addresses travels fast, so just be sure you think through your strategy and use of emails before you start
