Yes, when you send a message via email to a BT PC Text virtual mobile number, you receive two emails back : The first email informs you that the message has been received by BT and is going to be processed. The second email informs you when the message has been received by the mobile handset. Usually, the two emails arrive within seconds of the message being sent. However, if the mobile is switched off or is out of range, the message may be in a queue for up to 24 hours. Once the mobile is within range, you receive the second email indicating that the message has been received. If the mobile is not reached within 24 hours, you receive a failure notification email.
