If it is left in clumps it will start fermenting and growing mold and it could make your rabbit sick. If the grass is dried and cured properly it is not as bad for you rabbit. In some ways, grass is not a good substitute for hay. The stem of the hay is what the rabbit gets fiber from. The woody/stiffer portion of the plant is where the rabbit gets its fiber from.
