Can i grow chillies from the seeds from inside them?
Judging by this page of advice from the UK about growing chilis there, it’s a wee bit more complicated than just drying of the seeds and planting them. You need to start the seeds in late February or in March, depending on where you live there. Read this: http://www.chilefarm.co.uk/growing.html All things considered, you shouldn’t have too too much trouble starting with the seeds you’ve mentioned- do dry them, as advised, and keep them in a fairly dry place over the winter, or they’ll get mouldy– and once you’ve done it successfully, you’ll be able to keep it up. I think it’s important to save seeds like this and especially to keep heritage varieties going. Check out the Seed Savers link to see why. [Add: See also: http://www.tropicalpermaculture.
