Can i hang a table lamp from the ceiling? if so, how?

Depending upon the quality of the table lamp, it might work. However a table lamp is not designed to handle the heat that will rise from light bulbs. So if the design has some plastic in the base, and if the plastic is not designed to handle heat that could be a problem. The other problem is that the lamp is designed to support weight above the base, and not to support weight hanging from the base. This could cause a problem as well. So a high quality table lamp will work depending upon the design, however a lower quality lamp could be a fire or falling hazard.  more
