Can I have x11vnc only listen on one network interface (e.g. internal LAN) rather than having it listen on all network interfaces and relying on -allow to filter unwanted connections out?

As of Mar/2005 there is the “-listen ipaddr” option that enables this. For ipaddr either supply the desired network interface’s IP address (or use a hostname that resolves to it) or use the string “localhost”. For additional filtering simultaneously use the “-allow host1,…” option to allow only specific hosts in. This option is useful if you want to insure that no one can even begin a dialog with x11vnc from untrusted network interfaces (e.g. ppp0.) The option -localhost now implies “-listen localhost” since that is what most people expect it to do.
