For basic plumbing repairs such as replacing tap washers, cistern washers, unblocking sinks with a plunger, fixing a leaky downpipe, cleaning gutters etc it is ok to do this without engaging a licensed plumber. If you feel that you wish to carry out this work yourself but would like some useful information to help you then we are only too happy to speak to you and offer some handy plumbing tips.
