You would lose weight indeed (mostly water and waste) but at what price? There’s no point of losing weight only to regain it as soon as you start eating normally again because your body will have adapted to lower caloric requirements and lower your metabolism. Once your metabolism is down the drain, you’ll make fat reserves very easily, not even eating more than what you’re eating now…and then keep gaining weight and you’ll end up bigger that what you are now. Unless you’ll be eating 20 or 25 apples a day, you’ll never cover your Basal Metabolic Rate and if you eat that many apples, you’ll never be able to get out of your house, because of all the diarrhea you’ll have to deal with. The healthy (and lasting) way to lose weight is to eat a healthy diet, enough to cover your BMR, then exercise for 3,500 calories for each pound of fat reserves that you wish you lose.
