Load all the pictures into PSP. You want to make sure that they are all about the same size. Create a new blank image big enough to hold all the images. (Image->Image Information will give dimensions.) Now either copy the whole image and paste it into the blank or make a selection and copy that. Make sure that feathering is off if making a selection or perhaps you want to play with feathering to see what effects you can achieve. (See selection tool for selection shapes) Once pasted into the centre of the blank image you can drag the images (layers) around until they look right. You may find that it is better to have a background to your blank image. When you are happy save the blank image as a psp type. This will preserve the layers. Now flatten the layers (Layers->Merge->Merge All) and then crop the image to complete the job. Export as jpeg or gif (try both formats to see which is best for what you want). That should be it. Have fun.
