Can I obtain files or transparencies of non-standard images, for example loan paintings, National Gallery paintings in their frames, x-rays, infra-reds, or conservation material?
Non-standard images are not available on the Picture Library website. Permission will need to be cleared for these separately so you will need to e-mail the Picture Library with the full details of the project. Standard service and reproduction fees will be charged. Please note that permission is not always granted for the use of special material, and it can take some time to clear permission. We therefore advise customers to contact us as early as possible when seeking permission.
