Can I only recycle empty Elmers glue bottles and glue stick containers?
Elmer’s is proud to sponsor the FIRST glue bottle and glue stick recycling program in partnership with Walmart® for America’s classrooms. Although, we will accept all brands for recycling, we cannot guarantee that they will meet the strict standards for recycling of these types of plastics. Elmer’s Washable School Glue and Glue-All bottles that are marked with a #1 or #2 recycling symbol are recyclable at most recycling facilities, however, Elmer’s Glue Sticks are made with plastic that requires special handling and therefore can only be recycled at designated facilities. We cannot guarantee that other brands of glue and glue sticks are made from recyclable plastics.
