Can I print TerraSkin on my home/office laser or inkjet printer?

Unfortunately no, the laser printers are too hot for TerraSkin – it will start to warp. And the inks in the inkjet will not adhere to the TerraSkin properly – and it will most likely smudge.

Some people claim success at it. I think it may depend on how detailed the image is and also on the printer. Also, you may try searching Google for “the perfect printer pouch”. People use this to set inkjet printing on printer paper alternatives like vellum and claim it 1. prevents smearing  2. makes a cleaner print and  3. dries faster.

Also there is an artist online that has art made on TerraSkin using an inkjet printer for his background. Google “Graham Curry Alison Milne Gallery”.  At the gallery he has images that are labeled as “inkjet print on TerraSkin paper with acrylic”.

I would also advise you not to use regular printers. It is better to contact a professional company that deals with printing.

It’s good that I’ve come across your thread. Maybe you can help me. For a couple of days now, my printer tends to overheat, which causes the print clarity to disappear, and it periodically shuts down. Unfortunately, I can’t determine whether it is a laser or inkjet printer, and I haven’t contacted specialists who can repair it. Our office was closing, and I was allowed to take the printer home for comfortable work from my house. I installed it in a locker that I had bought on https://www.office-furniture.com.au/ to reduce the sound of its operation a little. It is a very convenient solution, but I wonder if the printer overheats because it is in a closed space.

Of course, you could buy a professional printer, which would be more profitable for you than printing each time in a different place. I recently decided to study printers in more detail and found the official website with a lot of helpful information. I used to think that a professional printer is bulky, and it doesn’t make sense to have it at home, but there are also compact models. They have excellent print quality, there are options for functions, such as photo printing. I choose options, I think to buy a good printer for myself, and I’ll share it with you when it happens!
