Can I put Regular Unleaded Gasoline instead of Premium Unleaded in my 2000 BMW 330i?
Yes you can. Over a long period of time it can damage your engine becuase the engine has to work harder to burn the fuel. The higher the octane, the colder the temperature has to be to burn the fuel. Also, the performance of your BMW will be sacraficed, but you wouldn’t be able to tell. Only race car driver would be able to tell the difference. The lower the octane will also decrease your horsepower output, but not enough to tell. I would recomend adding an octane boost, or fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank every couple of months if you don’t want to use premium fuel.
