James says: I think removing the 3rd beam on the Pahi 31 is possible. The Tiki 38 has only 3 main beams so I think the Pahi 31 should be OK like that too. She is a very strong boat. However there is an other possibiliy to improve cockpit size, but this would mean changing to a different rig which you may not wish to do. If one uses the Tiki Style Wingsail Rig (now available for the Pahi 31) then the short mast beam can be removed giving a lot more clear deckspace.
