Can I rent a flat in Glasgow before getting a job?
I’m sure it won’t be a problem if you rent a flat before you have a job. You will have a very long time waiting on a council flat as there are huge waiting lists. You will get a flat much quicker by renting privately, although you may be required to pay a months rent in advance and possibly a security deposit also, so you will have to work out if you can afford it. Another option is to flat/house share which may work out a better option for you until you get employment.
