Yes but there is more to it than just spraying paint. Ideally one needs at least three thin coats of spray paint. Between each coat one must use a super fine grit sand paper to ‘knock’ the paint down, followed by a damp (very damp) rub off of the dust, more spraying, more fine sanding, a rub. To get that deep shine, requires several coats of poly clear coat, again you can spray, fine sand, wipe, spray, fine sand spray, wipe. Personally I never ever paint wood. I stain (mostly rag rarely a brush) followed by many seal coats with a clear coat finish.
