Can I set up an endowed scholarship? What is the minimum gift required?
Endowed scholarship funds may be established with gifts of cash or negotiable securities. Gifts of personal property, real property, and closely-held stock may be accepted only if the Gift Acceptance Committee approves the gift prior to receipt. The minimum amount required to establish an endowed scholarship fund is $32,500; the minimum amount required to establish an endowed award scholarship is $10,000. The minimum amount required to establish an endowment fund, not related to scholarships, is $25,000.
