Can I still be a vegan if I eat fish/ yogurt/ honey occasionally?

Veganism, by definition, is not just a diet but a whole lifestyle. Vegans do not eat anything that comes from animals. They also do not use anything that comes from animals. This includes make-up with lanolin, clothing with leather and wool, candles with tallow, shoe polish with mink oil, etc. Accidents are one thing, but if you purposefully eat animal products then you’re not vegan. It’s not a snob thing, or a club, but simply a definition. I’ve never studied physics or gone to the moon so I can’t call myself an astronaut. I only speak one language, so I can’t call myself bi-lingual. Don’t get me wrong – I think your intent to reduce animal products is great. But you can’t be a vegan if you eat fish, yogurt, or honey. You can’t be vegetarian if you’re eating fish (which is a meat. I don’t understand why people think it isn’t) or yogurt with gelatin in it (vegetarians do not eat slaughter bi-products.) Try soy yogurt, maybe? And brown sugar, raw sugar, or agave syrup instead of honey.
