Can i substitute worcestershire sauce in a recipie?

It will depend on what you are using as a substitution. The only way to really know is to try to think what it would taste like with the Worcestershire sauce and then think what it will taste like if you were substituting Soy sauce, mustard sauce, hot sauce, etc. The only difference it will make is going to be the flavor and Worcestershire is fairly unique in that area. If it is something where you can remove part of what you are making before it gets to the final stage, you can experiment a bit. Take a small spoonful of what you are making and add a drop of your substitute, that will tell you if it will work or not (mac and cheese, tuna casserole, marinade, etc.). NOTE: If what you are making has raw food in it – do not do this! Good luck with this!
