Can I unschool at 17?

Although not all colleges accept unschoolers, there are also many that do. Your admissions process will be different from everyone else’s, especially if you don’t have a high school diploma. You’ll need a transcript of notable achievements and (if applicable) a portfolio of your work, and you’ll also need great SAT scores. If you’re in your senior year, then it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to stop now. Having a high school diploma will save you a lot of future headaches. And anyway, you’d only be unschooling for a few months, then you’d graduate and go on to college. There’s really no way to unschool in college. It’s noble that you want to pursue unschooling, and even though I’m highly skeptical of it, there is also supporting evidence for it. I just think that at this point, so late in the game, you’re better of doing things the traditional way.
