Can I use a 3rd-Party SMTP Engine with List Server for Domino?

Yes you can! Performance is always an issue, and with Domino R4, the serial nature of the SMTPMTA can be a performance bottleneck. List Server for Domino allows you to use an external SMTP Engine, to improve performance and through-put, simply by editing the “Reply-To Address” field in the List Server Configuration document. What’s the Difference between Public, Private, Unmoderated and Moderated Lists? List Server for Domino allows you to create several different types of lists. A public list is a list that anyone can subscribe to or unsubscribe from. A private list can only have members subscribed or unsubscribed by the list administrators. Unmoderated lists allow anyone to post messages (send mail messages) to the list, and Moderated lists only allow list administrators to post messages to the list. List Server for Domino allows you to have the following combination of List types: • Public – Unmoderated: Anyone can subscribe, unsubscribe and post messages • Public – Moderated: Anyon
