Of course you can. Most higher level PCs from the more famous PC brands are OK. However, you have to keep in mind that many of these systems are equiped with special components that are different to many mainstream PC parts. This means that you might be forced to use different drivers, certain settings (e.g. in the BIOS) are different or not accessable and so on. In some cases this can cause some trouble as we do not know all the specific details about these systems. When you need technical support you with such a PC system, you are often forced to contact the vendor directly … with the risk that they do not know much about the special requirements for a higher performance Music PC. So all in all, we think that buying a PC from the Music PC specialist should always be prefered … even if the “brand” for the whole system is missing.
