While they may be used successfully with proper care, we recommend caution in such an application. It is essential that the bed warmer not become kinked or pinched while it is turned on. This can cause overheating of the wires which raises a potential fire hazzard. ElectroWarmth fitted bed warmers (heated mattress pads) are designed and intended to lie flat on the mattress and not be kinked or bunched up. If properly installed there is no danger. If you elect to use an ElectroWarmth fitted bed warmer (heated mattress pad) on an adjustable bed, you must do so recognizing the need for it to remain unkinked and do so at your own risk.
