Can i use an open bottle of talc powder as a dessicant for my car ?
When putting a car in storage, for a long period of time, never use a plastic tarp or similar covering that can trap moisture. this will cause the vehicle to rust and possibly develop mold. No matter how much desiccant you use. You need to make sure that the cars’ interior is dry and letting it dry for a few hours, after cleaning, may not be enough. Keep the windows down to let air circulate and dry out the interior. If you have a car cover that allows are to circulate and not trap air (like a plastic cover) you can leave the windows cracked open slightly to let air circulate for a few days. Another option is to leave the Vents open to allow air to circulate in through the ventilation system. This keeps the interior from getting stale as well.
