It is not a good idea to use a traditional grill on a patio if you have an apartment over head, especially is there is a porch over head. This can cause a fire hazard and most apartment complexes ban them. However, you could invest in a portable grill. Portable grills are small, compact, and east to maintain. They also do not consititue a fire hazard like full size grills. They are available in charcoal, electric, and gas and in a variety of styles so I am sure that you could find something perfect for your patio.
Can I use an outdoor grill (gas, propane, charcoal, barbecue, BBQ) on my apartment deck or patio?
