No. Depending upon which Califone multimedia player you have, it can only be used to record onto a cassette tape, whether recording from the radio, another cassette, voice responses or a CD. The 2385-03 can play MP3 files and the new 8101 MP3 player/recorder however can record an MP3/wav file.
