Can I use my Commonwealth Bank Maestro debit card online?
Your debit card can only be used at ATMs, eftpos or in your bank branches. To use a debit card online, it must be either a Mastercard or Visa Debit card. These cards will use your own money but can work online like a credit card. To have a Mastercard or Visa Debit card you must be 18 years old. Maestro and Cirrus are facilites that you can use if overseas to access your money in shops or at ATMs.
